Motivation

This has been one wild roller coaster ride, ain't it?
This afternoon I first headed to The Peninsula for the fitting of the uniform (spoiler alert: it's cute and classy) and after that I still went to the Plaza Athénée for the interview that I had planned. I thought I might as well introduce myself and let them know I am in town, right?

One thing that they always, ALWAYS, always ask you during job interviews is why you want to join their Company. I did so many interviews over the past few days that I had a lot of time to reflect on the possible answers.
And you know what, there are soooo many different reasons why I wanted to join one Hotel or the other:
the Company is internationally renown and offers the possibility of transfering to New York;
the Hotel is brand new or has freaking multiple-Michelin-star Chef Alain Ducasse as Executive Chef;
the Hotel itself is a masterpass to every future career path I will choose; or again,
they just deal with luxury properties, there is literally nothing else to distract them from being this superpowerful Hotel managing force;
I would learn from the best hotel managers of the city that is known for its luxury hotels and exceptional service;
their education in hospitality is like no other and developing under their guidance would definitely shape my future and change my life; and so on..

I am glad they made the choice for me and the people at The Peninsula picked me to be their new team member, because if it had been down to me, I probably wouldn't have been able to make up my mind.
Or, I would have decided for very trivial reasons, like, it literally took me only 21 minutes to walk from the elevator in my building to the Staff Entry of The Peninsula. And I was in relatively-high-heels. Could it be any closer?; or because of the salary or the shifts or the general condition of the staff - the boring, uninspiring stuff that makes a tiring job more bearable, to be clear.

Fact is, I plan not to be tired by my job but try everyday to be inspired and full of energy and dedication.
Anyways, that is what I aspire to be in the very least.

Wow!!! Che storia questi ultimi giorni, no?

Ad esempio, il Gruppo di uno è affermato a livello internazionale e offre la possibilità di trasferimento a New York;
l'Hotel è nuovissimo oppure ha come Executive Chef  niente popodimeno che Chef Alain Ducasse, multi-stelle Michelin, che ha semplicemente scritto la storia della ristorazione stellata Parigina contemporanea;
l'Hotel in se stesso rappresenta un passpartout per qualsiasi carriera io decida di intraprendere nell'hospitality;
si occupano solo di hotel di lusso, non c'è letteralmente nulla che li distrae dall'essere questa superpotente compagnia di hotel management;
imparerei dai migliori hotel managers della città che è rinomata per i suoi hotel di lusso e servizio eccellente;
